One of the good things about shortwave listening is that there are many different utilities and data modes. Many of these data modes can be decoded with the help of an SDR, free software and a virtual audio cable.
Just having a quick listen around the bands and came across KE5EE, Stan, coming in loud and proud from Florida.
One thing I like about short wave listening is finding Numbers Stations.
Numbers stations are shortwave transmissions by forgein agencies sent to operatives out in the field. These transmissions are sets of coded numbers and can come in the form of voice, morse or digital modes.
